    Why I love this recipe

High-protein: If you're on a high-protein diet, I'm sure you find yourself running out of sweet treat ideas pretty quickly and you need to have more variety. Thanks to the cottage cheese, this frozen cottage cheese bark is high in protein and will help you reach your protein goals.

Versatile: I enjoy playing with the different toppings and flavors so much fun. I can think of 10 different variations to this recipe, from coffee to peanut butter. See below for some flavor combination inspo.

Perfect for meal prep: You can make a batch on the weekend and portion it out and store it in the freezer for quick, ready-to-eat high-protein snacks throughout the week.

Easy and simple: It takes less than 10 minutes to prep the ingredients, and the rest is in the freezer.

    Key ingredients

Ingredients to make frozen cottage cheese bark with a toddler's hand in the botton right corner.

Cottage cheese: I almost always like to use full-fat cottage cheese for its taste and texture. But if you are restricting your calories, you can use low-fat or even fat-free cottage cheese. It's a great high-protein source.

Greek yogurt: It's also rich in protein. You can substitute an equal amount of cottage cheese if you don't have Greek yogurt

Honey: It's my sweetener of choice for this recipe. You can use any liquid or granulated sweetener that you have on hand.

Toppings of choice: I chose chocolate because I like swirling it, but I have 10 different base recipes and topping ideas for you to choose from.

    Hanaa's recipe tips

    • Drain excess liquid from the cottage cheese to prevent the frozen bark from crystallising and to get a better texture.
    • Blend the base mixture thoroughly for a smoother texture. Blend the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt in a food processor or blender until completely smooth before spreading.
    • Give the bark at least 3 hours to freeze completely before adding any final toppings or breaking into pieces.
