    About

    I’m Hanaa and I am on a mission to help people increase their daily protein intake. I love finding fun ways to incorporate protein to any meal whether it’s for breakfast, a side dish or a dessert.

    My dream is to become a Registered Dietitian once my kids have gone to school and I have saved up enough.

    Where I'm From

    Originally from Morocco, my culinary journey took an unexpected turn when I married a Kurdish man and found myself in the United Kingdom. This cross-cultural fusion has become the heart of my inspiration.

    Cooking Classes

    I embarked on a two-year culinary journey in my home city Casablanca in Rawaj, immersing myself in courses that allowed me to refine my craft. These years of education have been a transformative experience, elevating my abilities and expanding my culinary horizons. With each slice, dice, and sauté, I've grown not only as a cook but as a creator of exceptional experiences.

    Why I am on a high-protein diet

    From keto to low carb, paleo to vegan, I've tried various diets, but cooking meals rich in protein has hands-down delivered the results I'd been longing for in terms of muscle building and weight management.

    What is a high protein diet?

    The recommended daily allowance (RDA). Typically ranges from 1.2 to 2.2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight or more, this could be achieved by focusing on protein sources like meats, poultry, fish, eggs, legumes, and dairy. I always aim for 30g of protein in my meals as much as possible.

    My inspiration

    I am inspired by Dr. Gabrielle Lyon who is a functional medicine physician. She has become renowned for her revolutionary Muscle-Centric Medicine® concept, which dramatically improves muscle health through a protein-smart diet, exercise, and lifestyle shifts. This entails:

    • Incorporating enough protein at each meal to stimulate the body’s natural muscle-building process called “muscle protein synthesis.”
    • Muscle-targeting exercises.

    I have chosen to focus on the diet side as I ease myself into exercise until my children grow more independent.
