    This viral Tiktok cottage cheese cookie dough recipe is the best way to satisfy your sweet tooth while maintaining your health goals. It's easy, quick, and simple to make. It requires only 6 ingredients and comes together in under 5 minutes.

    I think we have established by now that I am a huge fan of cottage cheese to the point that I use it for savoury recipes such as pasta, pizza, breakfast casseroles and bagels, as well as sweet recipes such as this incredible chocolate mousse.

    This is an edible dough because it doesn't contain raw eggs or flour.

    Given how delicious and easy this recipe is, it's no surprise it has gone viral on TikTok.

    The cottage cheese adds a creamy texture to the dough, and the sweetness from the maple syrup balances out the tanginess of the cottage cheese.

    I'm a sucker for Viral recipes and I have to try them to see for myself, and I must admit this recipe did not disappoint. I will be making a batch as a weekly healthy treat.

    Versatile: You can adjust the taste as you go to make it as sweet as you want to. You can also add other mix-ins- see the list below.

    Ingredients needed

    Six Cottage cheese cookie dough ingredients.

    Cottage cheese: It provides creamy texture and protein, I almost always use full-fat in my recipes but you are welcome to use low-fat if you're in a cutting phase or if that's what you prefer.

    Almond flour: It's what provides authentic cookie dough texture and an extra protein boost.

    Maple syrup: Used as a natural sweetener but you can replace it with honey, agave, or stevia.

    Protein powder: It adds protein and helps achieve cookie dough texture. I used vanilla protein but you can use unflavored whey, casein, or plant-based (may need to adjust liquid content)

    Semi-sweet chocolate chips: I usually prefer to chop my chocolate bars because they give me chunkier bites than chocolate chips- you can use cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips.

    Vanilla extract.

    How to make the Viral Tiktok Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough

    Step 1- Blend wet ingredients:

    Blend cottage cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla in a food processor or blender until smooth scraping down sides as needed.

    Step 2- Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a medium mixing bowl, combine almond flour, protein powder and chocolate chips with the blended cottage cheese mixture then add the blended cottage cheese mixture and fold together until well combined.

    Chill for 30 minutes or enjoy straight away.

    Hanaa's recipe tips

    • Let your cookie dough sit for 5 minutes before adjusting the consistency. If it is too wet, add more almond flour 1 tablespoon at a time. If too dry, add a splash of milk of choice.
    • Don't overmix the dry ingredients into the blended cottage cheese.
    • If you're a fan of sea salt, you can add a sprinkle to balance the taste.
    • You can add in peanut butter.
    • You can store your cottage cheese cookie dough in the fridge for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 months.

    • Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
    • White chocolate chips
    • Crushed protein bars
    • Dried fruit (cranberries, raisins)
    • Coconut flakes
    • Mini M&Ms
    • Crushed pretzels
    • Peanut butter chips
    • Sprinkles
    • Crushed freeze-dried fruit

    For en extra protein cookie dough:

    • Add crushed protein bars
    • Include roasted edamame
    • Mix in protein chips
    • Top with protein granola
