    Why I love this recipe

Super simple: I prefer to do everything in one bowl: mixing the ingredients, adding my toppings along the way, and eating right from it

Quick: If I tell you it's quick to make. It takes less one mine. Yes! I timed it.

Mixing Matcha into yogurt: 30 seconds.

    Adding toppings: 30 seconds.

Customizable: Every time I make this recipe, it turns out a little different. It depends on the ingredients I have on hand and what vitamins or minerals I feel I might need. For example, if I feel like I need more healthy fats, I will add a nut butter to the toppings.

    Ingredients needed

Matcha: if you can get your hands on ceremonial Matcha it is indeed the highest quality Matcha grade, the tastiest and has the most nutritional composition.

Greek yogurt: I like using Greek yogurt because it's high in protein instead of regular natural yogurt. I used unflavored and unsweetened yogurt, but if you’re using a sweetened one, you can skip adding extra sweetener.

Sweetener: I used maple syrup but you can use honey or agave syrup instead. Any liquid sweetener will work.

Toppings of choice: You can eat it as is or add some exciting colour and texture. I topped mine with homemade granola, blueberries and frozen red berries.

How to make Matcha yogurt bowl

To make your yogurt Matcha bowl, simply place all your ingredients in one bowl and mix well until all ingredients are well combined and there are no lumps left.

you can either use a whisk or a fork for this.

Serve in your favorite bowl with toppings of choice.

    Hanaa's tips

    • No need to use another dish. Just mix all the ingredients in the same bowl you’ll be eating from.
    • You can amp up the protein in this recipe by adding a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
    • If you use sweetened protein powder, you will need to reduce the amount of sweetener you use.

    Variations

I suggest these topping combinations that I find pair well with the Matcha protein bowl:

Honey and almonds: Drizzle honey over the yogurt and sprinkle with a nut butter for healthy fats, sliced almonds for a sweet nutty crunch.

Berries and coconut flakes: Add fresh berries (like strawberries or blueberries) and a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut flakes for a tropical, antioxidant-rich combination.

Banana slices and granola: Slice up a banana and add some crunchy granola for a creamy and satisfying texture blend.

Hemp seeds and dark chocolate chips: Mix in a teaspoon of hemp seeds and sprinkle with a few dark chocolate chips - white chocolate works well too- or cacao nibs for a boost of antioxidants and added fibre.
