Whoever tries this quick and easy green beans recipe just appreciates the level to which a simple vegetable such as green beans can be so delicious and filling.
Even children who did not used to eat green beans in their homes like it because of the taste as well as the texture, I normally just blanch my green beans super quickly which leaves a crunch and a bite to them which is why I like them the most.
Blanching the green beans also preserves their vibrant, bright green colour and preseves their crunchiness, which, I think is more appetizing than the dull green and mushy texture.
I like to blanch quite a big batch and keep it in the fridge once it's cooled down. Whenever I want a quick side I just follow the rest of the recipe by sautéeing the portion myself or my family is having.
I would like to prefice that I like to sauté the green beans in high heat after having drained them.
