Simple and Quick Green Beans

Quick and easy side dish that can be prepped beforehand in you're having a dinner party.

- 200 g Green beans
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
Stack the green beans horizotally and cut the knobby ends off.
Set a bowl of ice water prior to blanching.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add a tablespoon of salt and cook the green beans for 5 minutes.
Drain the green beans and plunge them directly into the ice cold water to stop the cooking process and preserve their bright green colour and drain.
Heat a skillet, add 2 tablespoon of olive oil and add the green beans, keep sautéeing until a caramelised layer is formed.
Add the crushed garlic and turn off the fire, keep sautéeing and swiftly plate it so the garlic doesn't burn.
