Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse

This cottage cheese chocolate mousse recipe is rich, silky smooth, and satisfying. With just four ingredients, it comes together in seconds and packs 28 grams of protein per serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds optional

Instructions
 

  •  Add the cottage cheese to a high-speed blender or food processor and blend for a minute or until smooth.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients (including the optiona chia seeds) and blend for another minute.

Notes

Scrape down the blender or food processor from time to time.
Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
Immersion blender can also work in this recipe if you don't have a high speed blender.
If you want more protein you can add protein powder but you will need to add some milk as well.
You can replace unsweetened cocoa powder with powdered peanut butter.
You can replace cottage cheese with Greek yogurt or even make it 50/50.
For a more indulgent treat you can add heavy cream to the cottage cheese - in the first step of the recipe-. this will also make extra Keto friendly.
tore in an airtight container for up to three days. Stir before serving if it has been in the ridge for more than 24 hours.
Store in a freezer safe bag for up to 2 months. You can eat it slightly frozen after a short thaw.
